Because of Bang & Olufsen's 90th anniversary, the sound engineers, led by Tonmeister Geoff Martin, were given a free hand for once to design the best loudspeaker ever. The challenge was to make this speaker reproduce the best possible sound in every situation and room, just as it was recorded in the studio. Three years were spent developing the Beolab 90. During that time, extensive listening was done to the best loudspeakers available on the market at the time.

Design
Meets Sound
With 18 premium speakers and 8200 (!) Watts per speaker and a weight of 137 kg each, it was also a challenge to achieve a timeless design for the BeoLab 90. Led by product designer André Poulheim, a design was chosen based on a four-point canvas, which gives the BeoLab a different appearance in every position.
